Steak 'n Shake coupons

Steak 'n Shake opened its very first restaurant in Norman Illinois in February, 1934. The founder of Steak 'n Shake Gus Belt pioneered the restaurant concept of fresh premium hamburgers and delicious milkshakes.

For more than 75 years the Steak 'n Shake brand has long been a symbol of its past. The word steak obviously stood for steak burger and of the term a Shake represented their hand dipped milkshakes. Gus was dead set on serving his customers only the highest quality steakburgers and shakes in the restaurant business. To prove his point that the burgers at Steak 'n Shake were exceptionally prime, Gus would haul in a bunch of stakes that included T-bones, round steaks and sirloin and would grind the stakes into the steak burgers right in front of his customers. This is where the origin of one of our many famous slogans, "insight it must be right" originated.
